Science Champions - 28th March 2023
On Tuesday 28th March the live final of CAST education’s Top Class Science competition was held at the UEA and we are delighted to tell you that one of our Year 6 teams was victorious! Preliminary rounds were held online against other schools across Norfolk with both of our teams making it through to the semi-finals. Team 2 prevailed and found themselves matched in a live showdown with the second highest placed competition school from the heats – Trowse Primary. The composure and knowledge of the Sheringham scientists prevailed and they came away victorious with a final score of 71-45. We were / are so proud of them – well done all! (A special thank you to Mr Perrem for organising our participation and spear-heading our winning ways!)
Years 3/4 Football Team - November 2022
We were delighted to take two Y3/4 football teams to play in a tournament at Beeston Hall School. The girls' team were victorious after winning all of their matches and the boys' team came second in their competition, winning 3 and drawing 2 of their games, very narrowly missing out on goal difference. As usual, all of the children were fantastic representatives of the school.
Football Tournament - October 2022
What an amazing performance from our football team today at an inter school tournament. We were up against 6 other teams. We performed brilliantly in the group stage, topping the group, not letting a single goal in and scoring 24 goals!
We made it into the final after winning the semi final 2-0. In the final we went 1-0 through a great goal from Jack H. Bure Valley equalised and scored a winner in the last few minutes.
Despite coming 2nd, all the children should be so proud of their teamwork and the great football they played.
We are super proud of 6 of our pupils who have been doing some amazing fundraising for the school PTA and Great Ormond Street Hospital. They have been completing an age appropriate triathlon combination of swimming, biking and running. If you would like to find out more or possibly donate to the cause then follow the link below.
This is such a lovely, thoughtful thing to do, well done girls (plus the mums of course who have also been joining in!).
All at SCPS&N
Thomas F in Y6 has had a really successful Sportshall Athletics season. He became under 11 county champion in speedbounce and chest push, competing for his club City of Norwich AC.
He was then selected for the county team, representing Norfolk at the East Regional Championship in March. Norfolk competed against Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire last weekend. Thomas came first in Speedbounce becoming East of England champion, second in javelin and his under 11 team won the overall competition!
Fantastic achievements Thomas, well done!
Benny has been working really hard in his swimming lessons each week and has managed to complete every section for stage 1, he has now been moved up to the next group stage 2!
Well done Benny a great achievement.
Harriet has passed her NICAS Level 1 in climbing at Highball in Norwich. Harriet has loved climbing anything she could since she was able to move.
Everyone is so proud of the fact she never gave up and kept preserving if not getting a little distracted along the way! She always has a smile on her face and her confidence has grown.
Well done Harriet and good luck with your level 2!
Raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital
Polly, Elsie, Abigail, Hannah, Josie and Ella all completed a triathlon to raise money for Great Ormond Street hospital and to help raise money to buy lunchtime equipment for school.
They raised over £1000 and the money has been spent on some fantastic new equipment including a Quidditch set, a lacrosse set, space hoppers, balance beams, basketball hoops, parachutes and lots of other exciting things.
Well done to the girls for their incredible effort!
His new belt is purple with a white stripe .
Jay Jay is really pleased with himself as you can see from his photo.

The Norfolk U10s have just smashed their first training session of the season at The Langlay School in Taverham and they are now going on tour in the South of England during the summer playing other County teams!
