Volunteer Readers - We are always keen to have volunteers in to hear children read. If you are interested please contact the office for a volunteer pack. 

Job Vacancies

 

Position available: Nurture support

Hours: 20hrs (Monday- Thursday, term time only)

Contract: Temporary for 2 terms in the first instance .

Positions to commence: ASAP (subject to DBS check and references).

Closing date for applications: 2/9/19

Interviews:  w/c 9/9/19

Year Group: across year groups

 

Pay Scale: C point 3 to 4

 

Qualifications: Relevant NVQ Level 2 or above. Experience in Nurture or pastoral environment desired but not essential.

 

The successful applicant will work predominantly with groups of children with both learning and social and emotional additional needs. Where appropriate groups of children alongside the class teacher. Following the 6 principles of nurture.

 

If you are able to:

  • Be able to personalise learning to meet the needs of the individual
  • Have a calm and patient manner.
  • Work as part of a team, be confident to contribute to planning for activities
  • Use your own initiative.
  • Adopt a child-centred approach.
  • Respond to children’s needs appropriately and sensitively.
  • Employ good behaviour management strategies.
  • Liaise with parents/carers and other professionals, communicating effectively and appropriately.

If you have a sense of humour, you enjoy working with children and supporting their whole learning and development, then you could be who we are looking for.

 

Candidates must:

  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Respect the ethos of the school.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the school Code of Conduct.
  • Have excellent levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • To have a secure grasp of the principles of nurture
  • A good understanding of the SEN CoP.

Position available: Teaching Assistant

Hours: 19 – Across a week

Contract: Temporary till July 2020.

Position to commence: ASAP in the Autumn term 2019 (subject to DBS check and references).

Interviews:  during week beginning Monday 9th September 2019

Year Group: TBA

 

Pay Scale: Band C

 

Qualifications: Relevant NVQ Level 2 or above.
