Team Sports

Cricket Club for Years 4,5 and 6 on a Monday after school - starting 11th March!!


Cricket is a fantastic summer sport and we will be looking to train a number of children, both boys and girls, in the art of kwik cricket! This club has had a good amount of success in recent years and we will be extending it this year to include Year 4. Our weekly training sessions will take place every Monday, 3:30 - 4:30, after the February half-term. We will be entering a few tournaments and generally be having fun.  

Football Clubs


Girl's Football Club - Thursday before school for Years 1-6


Our girls football clubs for year groups 1 to 6 is each Thursday morning with Miss Corden.  Come along and enjoy some football fun and fitness. 


Year 3 and 4 Football - Thursday lunch times


We will be practising our football skills and understanding the concepts of the game with key elements for success in striking the ball. 


Year 5 and 6 Football Club - Monday lunch times


Year 5 and 6 boys football, ran by Mr Roper, who has coached at Academy level and in America. The club will focus on technical skills to develop all round footballers. We will progressing into small sided games to work on attacking and defending principles as individuals and as groups.



Netball - Tuesday lunch times for Years 5 and 6


Netball is a great team sport which can be played by girls and boys.  This club is a great way to enjoy a team sport and use hand eye coordination and tactics.  This club has the opportunity to be chosen to play matches representing our school against other schools. 

Tag-Rugby - Thursday lunch times for Years 5 and 6


During the Autumn and some of the Spring Term a Year 5 and 6 tag-rugby club is run on a Thursday lunchtime.  During the sessions we work on some of the core skills required and then play short games.  Our school takes part in tag-rugby development sessions with our cluster schools during this season. All children in Years 5 and 6 are welcome to participate although numbers are limited to 20 per session.  Children wishing to take part will need to have their trainers available to change in to in order to play.  

Tennis - Wednesday after school for Years 1,2,3


Tennis is a great hand eye coordination game.  During tennis club we work on and understand the key principles of the game.  This can be an individual game or a team game.  We also use the local tennis club to have coaching sessions and use their courts.
