Creating Music in Key Stage 2

This half term all the children in Key Stage 2 have been busy composing music linked to the topics they have been working on in class.

Year 4 have been thinking about pulse and rhythm to create music to march to as part of their topic on the 'Rotten Romans'. Year 5 have been learning about the Vikings so have also been working on pulse and rhythm to create music to row to. Year 6, whose topic has been 'Light and Dark', have been creating music with contrast, focusing on structure, dynamics, tempo and timbre, whilst the children in Year 3 have been creating music for effect based upon their topic 'Is This The Way To Egypt?'
