About us

"Teaching schools give outstanding schools a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff and headteachers, as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support." NCSL

Welcome from Sheringham Primary Teaching School

Our vision at Sheringham Primary National Teaching School Alliance is that we should be a true learning alliance with all members continually exploring how to deliver the very best outcomes for children, sharing outstanding practice and new learning across the alliance, nurturing and growing the next generation of teachers and leaders and engaging in and with research to ensure that our practice in school is truly evidence based.

A quote we often use in training programmes is:

“Every teacher needs to improve, not because they are not good enough, but because they can be even better!” Dylan Wiliam

This has always spoken to me because it seems to encapsulate a lot of what we are about. There is always capacity to grow and improve, to challenge the status quo and look for better ways to support and guide our young people to achieve the best they can and become life long learners themselves.

Any person, school or association alone is unlikely to have all the answers, but together we are so much stronger and more able to find solutions! If you wish to join our alliance, please contact us. I hope you find the information on our website useful.
