Talent Show and BBQ
It comes as no surprise to us that the children in Year 6 have a wealth of talent. Here are just a few pictures to remind the performers and audience of the wonderful talent show. The culmination of the afternoon was our BBQ.
What a great afternoon.
Art - Sculpture
On Thursday 16th July we were delighted to have Kate Munro (our resident artist) come in and work with the class. We spent the afternoon using Jean Tinguely as our inspriational artist.
The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring their creativity and imaginations. New skills were acquired and developed in ways to combine a range of different materials. It was wonderful to see the children problem solving for themselves to achieve their sculpture goals.
Jean Tinguely (22 May 1925 – 30 August 1991) was a Swiss painter and sculptor. He is best known for his sculptural machines or kinetic art, in the Dada tradition; known officially as metamechanics. Tinguely's art satirized the mindless overproduction of material goods in advanced industrial society

Penny's Alopecia Fundraising Day
The children in our school never cease to amaze us with their compassion and commitment. We are extremely impressed and proud of Penny and her committee of friends who went to a great deal of effort to not only raise funds, but also educate and bring awareness to the issue of alopecia.
The fundraising consisted of; wear a hat, wig or scarf to school, a very successful (and delicious) cake sale, guess the name of a teddy, guess the number of sweets in a jar and also the number of sweets on a cake.
In total the team raised over £300 (to go to alopecia.org.uk), which is a magnificent total. We would like to extend our thanks to all those involved in helping make this a success.
Well done Penny and team!
This week we celebrated the success of Martha and Sylvie in the Norfolk Constabulary Internet Safety Poster Campaign.
Below is a copy of the police press release. The day was also covered by the North Norfolk News and the EDP.
Well done Martha and Sylvie.
