Job Vacancies

Teaching Assistant 

Position available: Teaching Assistant
Hours: 25hrs – Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary till July 2020.
Positions to commence: September 2019 (subject to DBS check and references).
Closing date for applications: Thursday 11th July 2019
Interviews: during week beginning Monday 15 th July 2019
Year Group: TBA
Pay Scale: Band C – Point 3-4
Qualifications: Relevant NVQ Level 2 or above.

The successful applicant will work with both learning and social and emotional additional needs. Where
appropriate lead groups of children alongside the class teacher.

If you are able to:

  • Be able to personalise learning to meet the needs of the individual
  • Have a calm and patient manner.
  • Work as part of a team, be confident to contribute to planning for activities
  • Use your own initiative.
  • Adopt a child-centred approach.
  • Respond to children’s needs appropriately and sensitively.
  • Employ good behaviour management strategies.
  • Liaise with parents/carers and other professionals, communicating effectively and


  • Have a good understanding of the current SEN Code of Practise


If you have a sense of humour, you enjoy working with children and supporting their learning and
