The weather has been very kind to us in the last few weeks, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that there is no 'Beast from the East' in the next half of term! We have had lots of fun at Forest School, with the children creating lots of wonderful crafts and showing creativity and imagination with the tree houses, zip wires and pulley systems they have made. We even had a boat made from old crates!
Some delicious concoctions have been created in the mud kitchen and we even had a visit from a tiger! We have enjoyed watching the children learn to use different tools and also how to create a campfire and the hot chocolate at the end of each session has been very popular, especially on the very cold days!
March / April 2019
The children have been busy making bugs and green man faces with clay this half of term. They have enjoyed practising their tool skills and making their own individual fires using a flint and steel. They have enjoyed bug hunting and identifying fungi and different trees. We have been planting lots of trees around the forest school site and had lots of fun with different team games.
