Year 2 visit to Easton Farm
Dear Parents and Carers
In preparation for our class trips to Easton Farm next week, here is the final information that you need to ensure that your child has a wonderful day.
We are travelling by Sanders Coach and will be leaving school as soon as possible at 9am in the morning. Please ensure that any travel sickness medication has been taken in readiness and that if any is required to be taken on the journey home that it is given to your child’s class teacher with full instructions.
Easton is a working farm, it may be possible to touch some of the animals under strict supervision and handwashing will be closely monitored. The children will also be regularly reminded not to put their hands near to their mouths or to touch anything that it is not needed to do so.
Wellington Boots must be brought to school in a disposable bag, that is thrown away at home, for infection control. Regular shoes should be worn to and from the farm on the coach. Everyone, including adults, will walk through a disinfectant bath in their wellies at various points during the day. It can be very muddy, so wellington boots not UGG style boots or shoes must be worn.
The children should wear their school uniform with trousers, not shorts please as the farm ask for legs to be covered and they should have a waterproof coat with them. A large part of the day is spent outside in the farmyard and land around it.
The children will be provided with a packed lunch. No sweets or treats should be brought along. Please ensure that your child has a bottle of water with them in a small rucsac style bag that they can carry themselves and has room to fit the packed lunch bag into it.
Thank you for your support with this. Please do email us if you have any questions, via the contact us page on the school website, or email@example.com
