How can I help my child ?

What to do at home

Your child will continue to bring home their red homework folder each week containing a maths, English or topic task. They will also bring home their red book each week, which will contain their weekly spellings and number facts.  It is essential that these are learnt over the week, for an in-class test on a Thursday afternoon. They will also have a reading book. It is important to try to read regularly, so that they can continue to build on their skills as a reader.  To get their weekly merit sticker, the reading record book must be signed, by an adult, at least, once a week. Finally, just as a reminder, it is the child’s responsibility to ensure any letters etc. in their book bags are handed in to their teacher.
