Lucy the Literacy Leopard

What could you do with Lucy the Literacy Leopard?

Your child has brought Lucy the Literacy Leopard

home because they have worked so hard in Literacy this week.  It is not a requirement but if they would like to do some Literacy with Lucy then please show this in her special book.

Photos, pictures and descriptions are great ways of showing what we do every day in the real world.

Below are just a few examples of how you could help your child do some literacy with Lucy.

  • Read her a book.
  • Write a short story or description of an activity you have done Lucy.
  • Take her on a trip by bus, car or walking and tell me what you saw.
  • Introduce Lucy to your family, what did they think of her?
  • Involve Lucy in a family occasion – what did you do?

Thank you for your help

Micky the Maths Monkey

What could you do with Micky?

Your child has brought Micky the Maths Monkey

home because they have worked so hard in Maths this week.

It is not a requirement but if they would like to do some

Maths with Micky then please show this in his special book.

Photos, pictures and descriptions are great ways of showing

what we do every day in the real world.

Below are just a few examples of how you could help your

child do some Maths with Micky.

  • See where you can spot any numbers, what do they mean?
  • Work out length of TV programmes or games.
  • Take Micky shopping and add up different items, work out what change you’d get.
  • Do some baking, weighing out ingredients etc.
  • Anything to do with number work: adding, subtracting, dividing,
  • multiplying, measuring, timetables – the list is endless.

Thank you for your help
